Black Senior Alliance exists to celebrate the matriculation and completion of four years at Washington University by black students. In the African American community, graduation is not only an honor and an outstanding achievement, but it is symbolic of overcoming some of the greatest obstacles.
BSA serves as the distinct face of each individual Black senior class, and represents the legacy they will leave behind. Throughout the school year, we host events that educate and socialize our members. It is the goal of each BSA Executive Board to use these events to raise money for their own class as well as to leave some funds for future classes. These events also serve to help Black seniors reconnect with one another before graduation in hopes of renewing and strengthening bonds for life beyond the university.
The BSA Commencement Ceremony, our most important event, specifically recognizes and commends the African-American undergraduates of Washington University on their graduation and recognizes those who have supported them in their journey.
